These actions raise worrying questions about the limits of innovation and the security of individual data. More than ever, it is crucial to question our practices and the true intentions behind algorithms. In a world where artificial intelligence is playing a dominant role, it is essential to question the ethics and use of technologies. Recently, a report from OpenAI highlighted disturbing practices: accounts affiliated with the Chinese government have allegedly used ChatGPT to design surveillance tools. This article explores the implications of these disturbing findings. Chinese Accounts on the ProwlOn October 7, 2025, OpenAI published a report titled \u00ab\u00a0Disrupting Malicious Uses of AI,\u00a0\u00bb which revealed the activities of certain Chinese users exploited through ChatGPT. These accounts, operating from the shadows, sought to use this technology to develop targeted profiling systems.
