A new training course focused on artificial intelligence technologies has recently emerged in Saint-Brieuc, with the aim of training future talents in this rapidly expanding field. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between the C\u00f4tes-d\u2019Armor Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Microsoft, and Simplon. Accessible without a diploma requirement, the training aims to equip learners with the skills necessary to meet the growing needs of local businesses in the face of digital transformation. <\/p>\n\n\n

Training to meet digital needs<\/h2>\n\n\n

In a context where artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming the labor market landscape, this training, named \u00ab\u00a0Microsoft AI School by Simplon\u00a0\u00bb, embodies a significant commitment to the development of local AI skills. This training is orchestrated by the CCI of C\u00f4tes-d\u2019Armor, in collaboration with the Brittany Region and France Travail. Local businesses also participate to ensure the skills taught effectively meet their needs.<\/p>\n\n\n

An intensive and accessible course<\/h2>\n\n\n

This 19-month program consists of 7 months of intensive training followed by 12 months of work-study training. Students, whether without a diploma or from diverse professional backgrounds, have the opportunity to acquire a state-certified title of \u201cartificial intelligence developer\u201d. In addition to collecting and managing data, they will learn how to integrate artificial intelligence models into real-world applications.<\/p>\n\n\n

Commitment to inclusion and diversity<\/h2>\n\n\n

One of the particularities of this training lies in its commitment to inclusion, with 50% of learners with disabilities. However, a challenge remains: the absence of women among the participants. This highlights the need to strengthen efforts to promote the orientation of young girls towards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) in order to further diversify this field.<\/p>\n\n\n

A positive impact on employment<\/h2>\n\n\n

The results of previous promotions, notably that of Lannion in 2023, are promising with 55% of candidates having found a job after training. This statistic illustrates the success of this initiative in terms of sustainable employability and the importance of training adapted to market needs.<\/p>\n\n\n

Contribution to regional digital development<\/h2>\n\n\n

Beyond simple training, this project actively participates in strengthening the region\u2019s digital ecosystem. By training experts in the professions of tomorrow, such as those in artificial intelligence, the Brittany Region demonstrates a vision focused on the future, placing the training of local talents at the heart of its strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
