Are you fed up with AI? You\u2019re not alone. An overwhelming majority of people are starting to feel fatigued with these digital assistants, which are often devoid of subtlety and humanity. A recent study revealed that nearly 70% of consumers still prefer to interact with a human rather than a bot. So, are you one of those who are fed up with talking to soulless artificial intelligences? In a world where artificial intelligences are ubiquitous, from customer service to virtual assistants, a majority of us are starting to feel fatigued. This fatigue with dehumanized interactions with soulless bots seems to be becoming widespread. An Overwhelming Preference for Humans<\/strong> The studies don\u2019t lie. According to a survey conducted by Okta, an overwhelming 70% of users prefer to speak to a human. than a bot. The notion of empathy, understanding, and responsiveness is sorely lacking in AI systems. In fact, 64% of respondents believe that a human agent understands their needs better than a digital assistant that simply follows a script.<\/strong> Frustration: A Mixed Feeling From disaster to disappointment, interactions with AI are often a source of frustration. Around 38% of respondents admit to feeling genuine irritation when automated devices take over. These mechanical agents can feel like they\u2019re interacting with an overly chatty toaster, which only exacerbates the situation. It\u2019s understandable, then, why, on average, the ratio is 4.4 humans to 1 AI, indicating that AI still has a long way to go to earn our trust. Distrust that transcends borders<\/strong> The survey results also reveal that this rejection is heightened in countries like the United Kingdom, where only 11% of Britons prefer to interact with an AI rather than a human being. While some countries like the United States, Japan, and India are a little more open, none seem to truly consider bots as a viable alternative. Moreover, the issue of trust remains crucial: one in two people are hesitant to entrust their personal data to an AI.<\/p>\n\n
