From writing text to creating advertisements, researching information and organizing events, artificial intelligence (AI) is making a place of choice in our daily lives. Several major players such as Google, Microsoft or Meta have integrated these technologies to optimize their services.<\/p>\n

When AI influences our opinions without us even realizing it<\/h2>\n

A recent study by researchers around the world has shown that the use of AI in writing can subtly alter our opinions without us even being aware of it.<\/strong> According to this study, when participants were asked to use an artificial intelligence bot like ChatGPT to write an essay, this AI could guide their argument according to the bias of the algorithm. It is therefore important to remain vigilant about the potential impact of AI on our way of thinking.<\/p>\n

Google relies on AI for more effective ads<\/h2>\n

Following Meta and Bing adding generative AI tools to their ads, Google is also getting on board by bolstering its auto-created assets (ACA). These use the content of a company's landing pages and advertisements with generative AI. The American giant has announced several new features in generative AI on its Google Ads platform, with the aim of designing more effective and targeted advertising.<\/p>\n

Artificial intelligence innovations at Microsoft<\/h3>\n

During its Microsoft Build event in May 2023, the Redmond firm shared several new features related to artificial intelligence. Among these are:<\/p>\n

  • The integration of Bing as the default search engine in ChatGPT, reserved for Plus subscribers for the moment;<\/li>\n
  • Improvements for Windows 11 and its Edge browser thanks to Copilot and plug-ins;<\/li>\n
  • The creation of a hub dedicated to AI on the Microsoft Store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    AI at the service of discovering local traditions<\/h2>\n

    As a test, France Bleu Gard Loz\u00e8re radio asked ChatGPT to organize a day at the Pentecost feria in N\u00eemes for four adults to discover bullfighting and Camargue traditions, as well as good restaurants and bars.<\/strong> Although the value of this application is mainly experimental, it testifies to the extent of the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence to facilitate our daily lives and guide us in our choices.<\/p>\n

    The importance of vigilance in the face of the rise of AI<\/h2>\n

    While AI offers interesting prospects for improving our lives, it is crucial to remain vigilant about its impact, particularly on our way of thinking or our choices. Regulation and transparency around the algorithms used, as well as user awareness of their potential biases, are all essential elements to make the most of these technologies.<\/p>\n

    The challenges for an ethical AI<\/h3>\n

    To ensure responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence, several challenges must be addressed:<\/p>\n

    • Equity:<\/strong> AI systems should not reinforce existing discriminations and should be designed to treat all individuals equally;<\/li>\n
    • Transparency :<\/strong> Users must be able to understand how the algorithms work and the reasons behind the recommendations made by the AI systems;<\/li>\n
    • Respect for privacy:<\/strong> Personal data collected by AI systems must be protected and their use must be legally regulated;<\/li>\n
    • The responsibility :<\/strong> Designers and operators of AI systems must take responsibility for any problems or
