Faced with growing concerns about recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and their impact on society, UNESCO is seeking to put in place ethical frameworks to guide the future of AI. In this article, we explore how Unesco is working to shape a more responsible future for artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

The call to action for a more ethical AI<\/h2>\n

On March 22, 2023, an open letter titled \u201cDiscontinuing Giant AI Experiments\u201d was published on the Future of Life Institute website.<\/strong>. This letter asked AI labs to suspend training of AI systems more powerful than GPT-4 for at least six months to focus on creating more accurate, safe, interpretable, transparent, robust AI. , aligned, trustworthy and loyal.<\/p>\n

Notable signatories and debates on AI ethics<\/h3>\n

The move gained traction with the addition of signatures from business magnate and investor Elon Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Since its publication, the letter has generated several debates and reactions regarding the ethics of AI and the need for a regulatory framework to guide its future development.<\/p>\n
