Parcoursup 2024: Overview of new features
The Parcoursup portal is introducing on Christmas Eve 2023, precisely on Wednesday December 20, a series of new features intended to assist future students in their post-baccalaureate orientation procedures.
The Parcoursup online space is thus open to future students, offering a global overview of the range of training for the academic year starting in 2024. Young people will be able to obtain information and refine their orientation projects with the tools and data offered.
Entry of choices from January 17
- Aspiring universities will be able to express their preferences starting January 17, thanks to improved tools that aim to simplify their journey.
The renewed site, offering an improved user experience, expresses the guarantee of a public service authenticated by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Innovative search features
- The search for training incorporates new tools, in response to the demands of young people.
Among these advances is the possibility of marking certain training courses as “favorites” and assigning them personalized annotations. In addition, a new comparison tool has been created, making it possible to evaluate various training courses on specific criteria, such as tuition fees, the existence of a boarding school or labels recognized by the competent ministry.
In addition, for a large number of BTS, specializations and professional licenses, statistics relating to post-diploma professional integration will be available.
Early access for secondary school students
The new features of the platform are not restricted to terminals; second and first year students will also have access to anticipate and refine their future directions.

Nearly 23,000 training courses recognized by the State will be available on Parcoursup by January 17, 2024. Dedicated assistance will also answer questions from candidates and their families via different channels: a toll-free number (0 800 400 070), the Parcoursup messaging and social networks.
Educational tools and support
- Explanatory videos on the Parcoursup 2024 procedure will be made available.
- Support will also be offered in schools thanks to educational teams.
These elements constitute a set of resources to best guide high school students through the important stage of their choice of higher education.
